H1. CHSE Odisha Class 12 results declared: The results of the Plus 2 examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education in Odisha have been declared today. School and Mass Education Minister Nityanand Gond declared the results at the CHSE headquarters in the capital. Out of a total of 3.91 lakh students who appeared for the Plus 2 examination, 3.16 lakh students have passed the examination. The pass rate is 82.77.

H2. Odisha hikes pension for senior citizens: The state government has notified an increase in the allowance of senior citizens and Divyang. According to this notification, their allowance has been increased to Rs 3,500 from June. Those who are above 80 years of age will get this increased allowance from June. Along with this, 80 percent disabled people will also get their increased allowance of Rs 3,500 per month, the state Disabled and Social Welfare Department has announced.


H3. CM Majhi Reviews PM Janman Yojana: Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the progress of the P. M. Janman Yojana being implemented across the state at Lok Seva Bhavan today. The Chief Minister has directed all the secretaries present in the review meeting to visit every remote area of the scheme being implemented in 14 districts of the state and assess the situation there.

Odisha clarifies maternity leave rules: In order to resolve the confusion regarding eligibility and duration of leave in various situations, the Odisha government has issued clear guidelines regarding maternity leave for women government employees. As per the existing rules, a woman government employee is entitled to 180 days of maternity leave for up to two living children.


H5. 112 newly constructed police quarters inaugurated: Our Commissionerate Police is working efficiently to control crime, maintain law and order and resolve traffic problems for the over 22 lakh people of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi said today while attending the 17th installation ceremony of Cuttack Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar as the chief guest.


H6. Odisha Plus 3 classes from July: Higher Education Minister Suryavanshi Suraj on Wednesday clarified that the Plus 3 classes will start from July 15 after the registration process is completed. He assured that the authorities have taken steps to avoid the delay of last year.
