New Delhi: The Baloch Liberation Army has made a shocking claim across the world. The Baloch Liberation Army, a militant group fighting for the independence of Balochistan, has said that it has captured a town in Pakistan. The Baloch Army has claimed that it has captured the town of Surab, located in Balochistan's Kalat division. In a statement issued on Friday, BLA spokesperson Ziand Baloch said that the group's militants have taken "complete control" of Surab, disarmed security personnel and captured key government establishments including a bank, levy station and police station. The BLA also said that a statement will be issued soon. The Balochistan Post reported that according to local sources and eyewitnesses, hundreds of armed militants stormed Surab and captured the police station, bank and several government offices. They snatched weapons from the security personnel present there. It was also claimed that the armed Baloch militants have also taken several officials into their custody.
During the attack, the Baloch militants have burnt several government vehicles. In addition, they have taken control of major roads including the Quetta-Karachi National Highway and Surab-Ghidar. Due to this, the people of the area have been cut off from communication.
