 H1. Vigilance recovers Rs 2.51 crore cash: Continuous action is being taken against corruption in the state. In this order, the Vigilance Department has raided the residence of Chief Engineer of RW Department Baikuntha Nath Sadhangi. So far, Rs 2.51 crore has been seized during this raid. The Vigilance team simultaneously raided 7 places of the Chief Engineer including Bhubaneswar, Angul and Pipili in Odisha.

H2. 16 senior OPS officers promoted to SP rank: The state government has promoted a total of 16 senior officers of the Odisha Police Service (OPS) cadre to the post of Superintendent of Police (SP). The state government's Home Department issued a notification in this regard today. These senior OPS officers are currently working as Additional Superintendent of Police.

On Friday, DIAG (Western Range) Brijesh Kumar Ray said, "Security forces have recovered more than 70 percent of the stolen explosives during a combing operation in the Saranda forest of neighbouring Jharkhand."

H5. Sikkim Bus Tragedy: In a tragic incident in Sikkim's North Mangan district on Thursday night, a bus carrying tourists fell into the Teesta river. There were 11 tourists in the bus. One person died in the accident. Two people were seriously injured and eight tourists are still missing. Among the eight missing tourists is a woman BJP leader from Jajpur, Odisha. BJP Jajpur unit General Secretary Itishree Jena is missing.
